A former CIA-assassin, on the run from his former employers, gets stranded in a small Wyoming town and stays to help a local farmer and his daughter fight the corrupt sheriff who's under the thumb of a ruthless land developer out to evict all the farmers from their homes.

Good old fashioned backwoods small town action thriller among the likes of Walking Tall. Reynolds' character is very likeable as he's taken refuge by a father and daughter after his car breaks down. Quickly learns of a right winged cult-like group taking over the town and Malone steps in to take care of it when things get personal. He's never overly witty doing all the walk without the talk.
Malone is never flashy and spends the time establishing the people. Shootouts are short but raw and concludes with a very entertaining climax.
