In so doing she innocently unleashes the horrors of the undead once again on the populace, including those at her school for ladies. Luckily for some, Dr Van Helsing is already on his way.

A fun and moody horror with great sets and a strong performance by Peter Cushing as Van Helsing. The vampire action is solid, and the atmosphere is classic gothic.
But it really misses Christopher Lee. The main vampire just doesn’t have the same presence, which makes the movie feel like it’s missing something big. Still enjoyable, just not as iconic.
