Minx
In 1970s Los Angeles, an earnest young feminist joins forces with a low-rent publisher to create the first erotic magazine for women.

The best thing this series has going for it is the sharply-written banter between intelligent characters. I give credit where credit is due. It hooked me into the early storylines of a ground-breaking magazine struggling to publish feminist politics in a male-dominated world, but with a certain way of getting people's attention. Come for the pictures, stay for the articles.
Unfortunately, as the "literary" business venture becomes more successful, the storylines become more contrived, and start to feel as fake as some of the oft-seen "appendages". When you stop looking forward to the next episode, a series has pretty much run it's course.
