Yellowstone (2018)
Follow the violent world of the Dutton family, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. Led by their patriarch John Dutton, the family defends their property against constant attack by land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first National Park.

Yellowstone is like Event Horizon (1997) if you swapped Laurence Fishburne’s tormented Captain Miller for Kevin Costner’s emotionally constipated John Dutton and replaced Sam Neill’s descent into hell with Wes Bentley furrowing his brow at property taxes. Instead of cosmic dread and sanity unraveling in zero gravity, we get Cole Hauser as Rip growling through every scene like a ranch-hand Terminator and Kelly Reilly’s Beth flinging trauma like whiskey bottles—0.5 stars for managing to feel longer, louder, and somehow less coherent than a ship full of cursed corpses.
