Tightrope
Wes Block (Clint Eastwood) is a detective who's put on the case of a serial killer whose victims are young and pretty women, that he rapes and murders. The killings are getting personal when the killer chooses victims who are acquaintances of Block. Even his daughters are threatened.

Clint Eastwood? In a role that is quite familiar, but not the same….
Is he a cop? YES.
Is he a bad ass? Well kind of.
Does he get the bad guy in the end? Well of course he does….
This movie feels like an alternate reality where the character from the Dirty Harry movies (Fancis “Dirty Harry” Callahan) lives in another dimension.
I like this movie a lot cuz it fits right in with the rest of his work from this time period yet it doesn't fit in quite nicely. It feels slightly uncomfortable in the cannon. That's a good thing when you have done a lot of the same movies all in a 15 year period. His comedy movies break up the “bad ass” cop movies well too.
