This is an abomination of film. An incompetent disaster. Talent wasted beyond belief. This is clearly a rough cut of a film, released to die financially. I just don't get who could watch this and go, "yeah this movie makes sense." Everybody is so unlikeable. Michael Fassbender's character is so uninteresting. The best part about him is we get to laugh at his name being Harry Hole. Knowing the movie would be bad, was instantaneous. The opening sets the tone for this atrocity perfectly by its ridiculous events that transpired in minutes. They spend the most obvious expositional time to explain this device they use in every other scene. JK Simmons is so irrevellent in this. His whole plot could be taken out and nothing would change. Poor Val Kilmer, this is one of the worst performances I've ever seen. His lines where ADR and synced laughably bad. I don't know why he was ever cast. The one character that has a purpose and could have a redeemable moment is killed in the lamest way possible and discarded from the rest of the film. The action in it is so choppy as well. Somebody literally loses a finger and have no idea how the fuck it happend. The last 5 minutes is also beyond dumb and completely predictable how it was going to go down. Finally the movie has the balls to act like it deserves a sequel. Fuck this movie.
