Sovereign

Sovereign
Struggling single father Jerry indoctrinates his son Joe into the sovereign citizen movement, teaching him that laws are mere illusions and freedom is something you take. But, as Jerry’s ideology consumes them, they are set on a collision course with a police chief who has spent his life upholding the rules that Jerry has spent his tearing down.

A very gritty, realistic movie. Everybody has seen short videos of people claiming to be Sovereign Citizens that believe laws do not apply to them, this is the full length version showing where you could end up.
Nick Offerman's best performance so far (IMHO), well supported by Jacob Tremblay.
Dennis Quaid was realistic as the good guy, he just gets better with age.
Totally watchable but it is a very serious movie.
