Darius Lovehall is a young black poet in Chicago who starts dating Nina Mosley, a beautiful and talented photographer. While trying to figure out if they've got a "love thing" or are just "kicking it," they hang out with their friend, talking about love and sex. Then Nina tests the strength of Darius' feelings and sets a chain of romantic complications into motion.

This one was tough because I loved the combination of poetry and love, but I did not like how much they could tell they wanted to be together but fought just being together. Compromise was always going to be their biggest obstacle and this movie was so charming, I just wanted them to get over themselves and just be together. I’m glad they did and I hope they ended up happy
