William Campbell always annoyed me because of his actor spasms, and because he was for some reason suspected to be the actor who played Paul when he “died.”. Well he did not. For a Psycho ripoff b-movie this one entertains. Like Spider Baby this one seemed to inspire Texas Chainsaw Massacre and 80s slashers. And it was jarring to hear an American girl lyric, “she’s an American girl raised on promises.”
