The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special may lack the usual narrative depth of a full Guardians outing, but c'mon as a simple Christmas special, it's an absolute blast! It's nice to see Mantis shine in a more prominent role, and Kevin Bacon is, as expected, hilariously committed to the bit. This delightful, concise adventure makes a strong case for more standalone specials and fewer drawn-out series in the future.
