Eyes Without a Face
After causing a car accident that left his daughter Christiane severely disfigured, the brilliant surgeon Dr. Génessier works tirelessly to give the girl a new face. He does so, however, by abducting young women and attempting face transplants. He has been woefully unsuccessful to date. The doctor's world begins to collapse around him when his daughter discovers exactly what he has been doing.

An eerie, captivating story with a haunting atmosphere, but suffers from old-movie pacing. Is it really necessary to devote an entire scene to walking up a super long staircase? I get that it's a product of its time, but I still struggle with the leisurely editing style of 1960s cinema.
