I think the last Chuck Norris movie I watched was Sidekicks with the late Jonathan Brandis. Chuck Norris’s role in this felt exactly like every Walker: Texas Ranger episode I ever saw, which admittedly isn’t very many. The film’s opening sequence kill features a long-ish elaborate tracking shot that moves in through a house, out a back door, changes focal points as different characters move in and out of the scene. It doesn’t look very good and the acting’s not very good either, but I love the ambition. 😆. I was kind of unimpressed by the bulk of the middle portion of the film, but I liked where the final act went. We get a man that just simply will not die vs. some weird science experiment. 😝 It helps that this caps off with a slow motion round house kick. Great pick. But I also can see why Chuck Norris never appeared in a horror movie again. It’s just simply not believable that he would be afraid of anything.
