Conflicted on this movie. Think it’s pretty well made from a technical standpoint. The cinematography is great and the monsters are cool looking. The acting was so so. Few actors were not the best especially the main boy. I thought the tension was there but I never got scared once. I have no attachment to the books so that might be hurting my enjoyment. At the end of the day it was entertaining but never got to the next level.
