Really loved Najarra Townsend as the titular hair stylist that’s always on the lookout for a new do to add to her repertoire. Desperately seeking connection with others, but completely lacking in her understanding of social graces to forge deeper human bonds. This leaves her isolated and alone with nothing but her trusty pair of scissors at her side. I really wanted to like this more than I actually did. The story worked pretty well, production was good looking, there’s some good scissoring action and a satisfying, albeit predictable, ending. My biggest issue is that this moved sooo slow in certain points. Loooong scenes of Claire sitting in the car, or looking in the mirror with no propulsive energy whatsoever. With a much brisker pace and maybe a higher body count, I could have had this rated quite a bit higher. Pretty good watch though.
