It's tempting to think of this as just "cheesy" or whatever, but Commando has a pretty deliberate sense of humor to it, at times feeling like it's trying to be a bit of commentary on the genre without overdoing it. Way more interesting to revisit than I thought it'd be, heck of a movie on multiple levels.
