The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. He soon meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.
A brillian series... Although it digresses too muych from the Novel but is still a good watch. Screenplay maintains the thrill and the story is almost tight paced.. The Jackal's kill from a boat is brilliant and keeps you at the edge of your seat. Eddie Redmayne does a brilliant job as The Jackal. He has been able to bring the same coldness and ruthlessness which the novel had.
The police inspector, played by Lashana Lynch, however is a let down. She is impulsive, unintelligent, and uses people for her own good. The character in the novel, however, was otherwise being very smart and intelligent.
Had they taken out the romance from the series, it would have helped to cut down by 1.5 to 2 episodes but still series is a must watch.
