Mind-numbing early noughties teen slasher with all the clichés and still manages to be fun. The cast are all easily in their late twenties or older but supposed to be in high school, they all have shit European accents, and surprise early appearances from James McAvoy and Isla Fisher.
The Pool isn't out to break any boundaries. The killer rocks a cool cheap rubber skull mask and pulls off some dope kills with a machete- especially one on a water slide. A shame he ends up being a loser incel that wasn't a very surprising reveal.
You've seen it before with all the fake out jump scares, blink-182 clone soundtracks, Scream homages, and stupid unrealistic characters partying and having sex but that doesn't matter because it's a fun formula.
