After several children have gone missing, a writer and a cop decide to get to the bottom of the problem once and for all. As they find more and more leads they discover that their children are being brainwashed into zombified cannibal killers by a disturbed teen.

An infamous title from the Troma library and one of their more serious-toned ones, Beware : Children at Play is one of those films whose reputation precedes it. Feeling like a regional horror take on Children of the Corn and something that is lost to the 80's because this could never be produced and wide released today.
That ending. Even if you haven't seen Beware: Children at Play there's a good chance you've probably heard about that finale. Shifting the film from generic killer-kids fare into something quite sinister. There are actually some fairly dark moments and even feeling darker when Troma doesn't inject its usual black comedy.
