( -_•)︻デ═一Tomorrow Never Dies is the quintessential Bond film complete with all the right elements and gets the formula perfect. It sadly never quite escaped the huge shadow of Goldeneye, but I consider it actually superior to GE and overall the best of the Brosnan era. (And best modern Bond film overall)
1. Much better pre-title sequence.
The most exciting one in the series along with Octopussy. Plus, there are no cringeworthy moments like Brosnan hanging updown in a bathroom stall or the ridiculous freefalling off a cliff.
2. Bond allowed to be Bond and not lectured by seemingly every character.
In TND Bond is not called a misogynist dinosaur, or any number of other self-aware critiques that we have to endure throughout Goldeneye.
3. Bond actually uses his gadget laden car.
What's up with that blue BMW in Goldeneye that barely even got driven? TND features a full on classic Bond car chase.
4. Better hair-cut.
Lookin' sharp 007! The modern supporting cast of Samantha Bond, Judi Dench, Colin Salmon, and Joe Don Baker all look and act their very best in this film.
5. Awesome end credits song.
Goldeneye ends with the lamest, most boring song possible. Did we just watch a Bond movie? TND has the great K.d Land "Surrender" that many Bond fans seem to like even better than the official title song.
