I was left feeling a little underwhelmed. A hollow script, that even the all star cast couldn't save. The plot had potential, could have been realised far better, the comedy just wasn't hitting the mark, it felt a bit contrived comedically. Directorally, some moments of good cinematography but it always felt like tension was never built successfully. It was hard to really get invested in the characters, and therefore the story and aim of what they were doing. Paul Rudd seemed restricted by the script and Jenna Ortega seemed to play a generic Gen Z type with not much depth to the character at all. Richard E Grant was a plus casting, but he was simply a charicature rich greedy type. The rest of the cast just seemed a bit nutty. Of course lots of people will enjoy this movie for being one of those camp comedy fantasy style films, with its attempt to depict unicorns, but it wasnt really my cup of tea. I got a little bored.. its a decent one time watch. 6.4/10
