"It's Such a Beautiful Day" is a deeply moving and profoundly original animated masterpiece. Don Hertzfeldt delivers a lovely artistic expression of the human experience, courageously explored through the lens of mental illness and living under the shadow of death. Though brief and covering a wide strata of the main character Bill's experiences, the film is ultimately, and defiantly, hopeful. A required viewing for anyone seeking animation as truly transcendent art.
