Ranchers Walton and Turner are losing cattle to rustlers and they each blame the other. After Walton and Clint Turner argue, Walton is found shot and Sheriff Gordon has to arrest his friend Clint. With Clint scheduled to be hung, Gordon desperately looks for evidence to clear him.

“The Range Feud” stars Buck Jones alongside a young John Wayne in a straightforward Western built around a range war and a murder that puts Wayne’s character in the hot seat. The film jumps into the action quickly, with little time for character depth. The love interest feels obligatory rather than meaningful, and the emotional stakes remain surface-level throughout. It's a familiar setup, executed with efficiency but not much nuance.
