I Spit on Your Grave

I Spit on Your Grave
The writer Jennifer Hills rents an isolated lakeside cabin in the woods of the peaceful Mockingbird Trail for two months to write a novel. Two days later, she is brutally gang raped by three local bigots, the sheriff and a handyman. Jennifer returns later to revenge against the rapists.

A remake that's as good as the original my only negative is that, this is more in your face with all of the raping and violence towards the Jennifer Hills character, which I felt they did lean too much into and went a bit too far with it, this is a very disturbing, dark and very depressing movie that really does stay with you like the OG did in the 70s, they also did a really good job of recapturing that feeling of isolation, vulnerability and suspense with this remake, it's not the kind of movie I'll go back to often but I was genuinely surprised with how good this remake was, and finally I really felt like I needed to take a shower during and after this film, which is probably why I won't rewatch it all that often! 🚿🚿🚿
