I was expecting to like this more than I did. Let me start off with the positives. The acting across the board was great. Adam Driver, Washington, and Topher Grace being standouts. Theirs some great scenes here and an important message. My only problem is that the pacing is pretty poor. This movie loves taking its time and really drags it down. Especially noticeable in the third act. The path off for the whole case was underwhelming or at least the stylistic way it played out really felt lack luster. It needed more dramatic tension and snappy dialogue. Also understand the music with the setting but the score really didn’t do anything for me, again especially with the third act. I am definitely looking forward to more of Washington’s work though!
