David DeCoteau does it again. Straight to video action picture that pops the cherry in the first third, underwhelms in the second, and finishes off with a bang.
We get a high thrill car chase right off the front to set the mood with guns ablazing on hot asphalt as our bad guy drops some good lines. This alone practically encapsulates the stunning poster art. How do we keep this high going? What DeCoteau does best- plenty of boobage.
There are some titulating long takes of beauties poolside rubbing down their chest with tanning oil. Notably DeCoteau's go-to Michelle Bauer but don't worry, his other favorite- Linnea Quigley shows up (nude of course) for one scene in which is a shower and then shot down like fifteen times. The babes keep the middle third watchable as there's too much uninteresting exposition. Things heat up with a simple cut and paste shootout and car explosions for a finale. Shot victims get blown in the chest usually a number of times with decent bloodshed. Can't complain.
If you're familiar with DeCoteau, you know what to expect. If you're not- that's your loss but this is an accessible one to start.
