Samurai. Ghosts. Cats. Ghost cats? A ghost story about revenge, and the unintended consequences of seeking it.
Kuroneko is staged like a play, filmed like a ballet, and feels like a waking dream. Diving straight in to action and plot in the first scene, there is very little down time and the pacing remains on point throughout. Fascinating facial hair choices, in particular eyebrows.
