Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close
A nine-year-old amateur inventor, Francophile, and pacifist searches New York City for the lock that matches a mysterious key left behind by his father, who died in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
i think when we watch a movie , we want it to be a perfect story , have all the twists and end in a perfect matchable ending , which is the only point this movie lacks , it dwells close to reality more than it does to storytelling ..it shows the long and tedious ( which sometimes looks stretched ) journey of a child to find the lock for a key which he thought his father left for him , this basically represents the closure every one of us look for , after losing a loved one especially all of a sudden .. it shows how desperately humans need closure and how far they can go to have closure . the ending which people thought it should have a mega ending , with the boy finding something huge to match up with the turmoil he put throughout the journey , i think the ending is well justified bcz in
most cases we dont find anything out of ordinary and its from beneath us that the closure comes.. i loved it for depicting this !
