When Puss in Boots discovers that his passion for adventure has taken its toll and he has burned through eight of his nine lives, he launches an epic journey to restore them by finding the mythical Last Wish.
They really cast Florence Pugh as Goldilocks and realized that they had to change the three bears canon to “Please eat our porridge and sleep in our beds.” This is such a fun film. Stellar (and I mean stellar) voice cast from top to bottom. Plenty of laugh out loud moments and the animation is really fantastic looking, particularly in the action sequences when it mixes in an almost 2D animation style. Really loved the opening sequence which was akin to something out of Shadow of the Colossus. And absolutely loved the Lobo character. Theater was packed with not an empty seat in the house, which it has been a while since I’ve had that experience. There were quite a few jokes and song lyrics that were in Spanish without subtitles that garnered some good laughs from the audience as well which was really cool to see. My Spanish is a rather rusty so I wasn’t able to catch those moments but I’ll definitely be looking out for those moments on rewatch. Highly recommend. Excellent family feature.
