They could have really pushed the humor and the campiness even more with M3GAN 2.0. If more of the energy I’ve seen in the marketing was applied here, this could have been a solid, cunty horror film. Thats not to say I didn’t enjoy it. Every time M3GAN is on screen as her sassy self, I had so much fun. I enjoyed the action sequences but wish the film was R-rated. While the PG-13 rating worked for the first film to some extent, you can tell that they cut around a lot of the gory bits here, which makes the over-the-top action feel a bit bland.
But everything aside, I went in expecting to have fun and I definitely had fun. Akela Cooper needs to go all out for M3GAN 3.0. Maybe have M3GAN collab with Gabriel from Malignant.
