Morgan Adams and her slave, William Shaw, are on a quest to recover the three portions of a treasure map. Unfortunately, the final portion is held by her murderous uncle, Dawg. Her crew is skeptical of her leadership abilities, so she must complete her quest before they mutiny against her. This is made yet more difficult by the efforts of the British crown to end her piratical raids.

Not totally sure why this movie got so much hate...
Was it the behind-the-scenes shenanigans?
Was it because there is a female lead?
Was it the anachronistic 20th century dialect in a 17th century setting?
Not enough salty seamen jokes?💦
Who knows and who cares, but it's a perfectly serviceable mid90s action adventure flick, à la: Romancing the Stone meets Pirates of the Caribbean.
I don't think it has the chops to be a cult movie, but if you haven't seen it before, and have only heard about it being a massive financial bomb/the death knell for Carolco Pictures, check it out...it's fine.
