The film "Innocence" is based on the novella "Mine-Haha oder Über die körperliche Erziehung der jungen Mädchen" by Frank Wedekind. This novella deals with the themes of innocence, education and the transition from childhood to adulthood. It is set in a mysterious boarding school where young girls are taught dance and physical education in isolation from the outside world.
