This banger is totally forgotten but it’s one of the best noir. Directed by the guy that did the classic Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movies, written by Cornell Woolrich the most noir of pulp writers, and stars slap-happy Dan Duryea and little man Peter Lorre. Add and mix and you have a nasty low-stakes top-shelf noir.
