5 stars for the visuals and music, but ZERO for the characters, stories and performances.
The star of this movie, beyond the fantastic visuals, is Daft Punk. Their musical score is dominating, awe-inspiring and gives the visuals a real power.
The main character in this movie is as cardboard as they come. He is a black-hole of charisma, sucking the life out of any scene he is in. Jeff Bridges is as you’d expect - a little over-the-top rerun of his Turbo-Hippy Lebowski character sprinkled with a Steve Jobs\Techno Narcissist garnish.
Are there other characters besides those two? Olivia Wilde has some appeal but is ultimately dull and disappointing.
Two Words: Daft Punk.
