All I wanted from this movie was to be dumb fun and it couldn't even exceed at that.
This movie is simple, cliche, and mediocre at best all around. I get it. People like when Samuel Jackson says mother fucker. For me it's completely worn off and doesn't work when it's the only joke he has in the entire film. They also give this lovely trait to Salma Hayek, who is playing a cartoon character that is annoying every second she's on screen. Ryan Reynolds is slowly but surely making it seem he's only good as Deadpool. He's just playing a tamer version in this, which is serviceable, but not that much fun. Don't get me wrong, I laughed a few times, but not enough for it's nearly two hour runtime. The musical score is generic and boring. The tone is all over the place and the action is not worth the price of admission. It's probably best to wait for this to come to Netflix.
