This show isn't really about Knuckles. If the show had been called "Knuckles & Wade" or something to that effect, then I would have been less disappointed. The main character of this series is Wade Whipple, the show follows him trying to reunite with his absent father at a bowling tournament, which to be fair is a perfectly fine premise. My issue lies with the fact that Knuckles is a secondary character in a show that bares his name. Out of the 6 episode run, Knuckles is featured less than you'd expect, in fact one of the episodes only features him in the opening and closing scenes, I'm not kidding, he is practically absent for an entire episode. But again, the show isn't terrible, it just didn't meet expectations for me, there are some fun action scenes and it is as goofy as the movies (in a good way) and feels like a fun show that is worth a go, provided you know what you're in for. While it isn't necessary to watch Knuckles before Sonic 3, there is a small detail that pays off in the movie if you have seen the show, but again it's not required to understand the third movie at all.
