Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective

TV-14
Ten’ikai General Hospital’s Supervisory Department of Diagnostic Pathology handles cases other physicians deem too difficult to treat. It’s also where bizarre mysteries surface, from unexplained illnesses to strange murders even the police can’t solve. At the center of it all is Takao Ameku, a brilliant doctor determined to reveal the shocking truth behind these anomalies.
This show is like the American TV show HOUSE if they replaced House with an anime girl, made her a little more eccentric and neurodivergent, had her solve Sherlock Holmes like murder cases for 50% of the show, and greatly reduced the runtime in exchange for high quality and beautiful imagery while skimping out on the animation fluidity a little. Its pretty good. It never fully caught my attention, the mystery of each case was far more interesting than the answers to them, it stayed relatively realistic with what could and did happen, the voice acting was realistic but not amazing, and the chemistry between the characters was kinda fun. It had one very emotional and heartbreaking case that nearly brought me to tears, and the rest had one or 2 fascinating mystery's in them with little else to grip me. Overall it was mostly pretty, realistic, and decent. Don't think its a show I'd eagerly re-watch though.
