Roy Munson havde engang en lysende fremtid for sig som professionel bowling-spiller. Men den slimede Ernie McCracken ødelagde det hele ved at få nogen til at stoppe Munsons hånd ind i en bowlingkugle-returneringsmaskine... Nu 20 år senere går det ikke så godt for Munson. Herregud, det er svært nok at få arbejde, selv om man har to hænder! Men så møder han Ishmael, en Amish, der drømmer om at nå til tops i bowlingverdenen, og Munson ser pludselig en smutvej tilbage til livet i overhalings-banen. Hvis han nu hjælper Ishmael til tops og selv scorer kassen på vejen… Men så dukker et spøgelse fra fortiden op i hele dets usympatiske, hentehårs-kronede selvtil-strækkelighed. Ernie McCracken…
Would have rated it higher but there was not one reference to a Monarchy of pins. No pins with crowns, no clearly established structure of pins with a hierarchy among them. Plus if I'm being honest I felt like there were entirely too many pins. Like if there was a Monarchy of pins established how could we possibly tell which on was king?!
