A group of ordinary people from South London unexpectedly develop super powers with no clear connection between them other than them all being Black. As they deal with the impact on their daily lives, one man has to bring them together to protect the one he loves all while avoiding the powerful and nefarious agents that have noticed their special abilities.

Decent UK superhero show. In part it felt similar to the good parts of Heroes, with Supacell having better dialogue writing. Ensemble shows often suffer in getting deep into characters, but these seems to give just enough to have some empathy. This would have been 4 stars, but I was so sick of the Michael/Dionne nagging and whining trope that it ruined any emotional stake one might have. The premise itself is not overly deep, but the show itself is interesting and parts of it are fresh.
