Pleasantly surprised. Expected this movie to be bad, sort of. Being an 80s kid, I was curious. I grew up listening to Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam. Heartfelt story, young actors were great. Lisa herself playing her mom was a nice bonus. Captures the look and feel of the era. Thumbs up!
