June 1916. The British Army is planning a big offensive in the Somme region in France. We follow a platoon of British soldiers as they sit in a forward trench, anxiously awaiting the order to go over the top.

It’s a bit like Saving Private Ryan in a way, but in WWI. The camera follows the two main characters all of the time and the movie is excellently made. I would highly recommend watching this movie if you have an interest in WWI.
