Dean Corsa lever af at opspore sjældne, gamle bøger for rige samlere. Med da en klient viser ham et særdeles velbevaret eksemplar af "The Nine Gates And The Kingdom Of Shadow", tror han simpelthen ikke sine egne øjne. Bogen er en legende i okkulte kredse, skrevet i 1600-tallet, efter sigende i samarbejde med Satan selv. Derfor blev samtlige eksemplarer brændt på bålet - sammen med forfatteren. Skjult i de gamle skrifter findes anvisninger på, hvordan man påkalder De Onde Magter. En satanisk manual. For en mand som Corsa udgør de ældgamle gåder en uimodståelig fristelse. Men rækker man Fanden en lillefinger...

Great movie similar to the DaVinci Code but more adult themed.
The ending is a huge let down though. I wish there was a sequel that explored it further.
The suspense and intrigue is real in this one. If you don't mind a slightly open end and appreciate an ending that lets your imagine run wild, this one is a definitive watch.
