Deep in the Louisiana swamp lives a legend. In the fall of 2013, the legend comes to life. Many have seen, some have heard, and none have forgotten: the giant hairy creature with glowing red eyes that locals refer to as the Beast of Bayou Dorcheat. When the long dormant Bigfoot monster seemingly begins a brutal reign of terror, a glamorous talk show host, Dr. Anna Rock, must leave her highly coveted position to search for her younger sister Megan, a Bigfoot researcher, in the swampy wilderness of northern Louisiana. She reluctantly enlists the aid of her former boyfriend and his father, two of the world's most respected Bigfoot research scientists, a Native American shaman, and Cajun swamp guide Gator Boudreaux. Separated from the others during the exhaustive search for Megan, Anna ends up alone in the swamp, with only the fading light of her cell phone to guide the way. Ultimately, she must confront her own worst nightmare to find her sister and provide the key to ending the massive carnage, and face down the most dangerous creature known to man.

My quick rating - 1.9. I do not have enough patience to list everything wrong with this movie. There is no COVID excuse for a 2016 movie, so where to begin? When I worked at WCVideo, I had to fix the VHS tapes. Well, I volunteered, but the point is I would splice out the tape parts where the damage was with no regard to what it did to the scene. Granted it was almost always the porn flicks that needed fixing (use your imagination for why) so scenes would just jump seconds, possibly minutes with no explanation. That was a default on the tape. This movie was purposely edited and contained things such as this. BAM, music cuts and new scene mid-sentence. Plot, go searching for Bigfoot because your dad (later they say parents, hard to tell which) was killed by one as a kid. Go search for him to prove it years later. How? Apparently look outside in Louisiana, it will be right outside your house. I am done, don't bother, I could write a novel on how bad this is. Send this over to MST4K, or if I get around to ripping on flicks for the hell of it, this is a prime candidate.
