Claus von Stauffenberg returns to his native Germany and joins the Resistance in a daring plan to create a shadow government and assassinate Adolf Hitler. When events unfold so that he becomes a central player, he finds himself tasked with both leading the coup and personally killing the Führer.

A very interesting film that never matches the full potential of what it could be. It was cool seeing Tom Cruise in a different light and there were some intense scenes in this movie. Unfortunately almost everyone in the cast pales in comparison to Cruise. It was hard to get on board with almost all these characters and feel invested. It was well shot but won't be that memorable when thinking about WWII films
