The original theatrical cut is a rushed mess, with missing character development and confusing plot points maybe a 2,5 / 5. The Assembly Cut adds crucial scenes that explain the alien infection, improves pacing, and restores Ripley’s emotional arc. It brings back the dark, gritty atmosphere the series needs, making it a solid 4/5. If you’re into Alien, this is the version you should watch.
