Captain America: Brave New World lands with a thud, offering surface-level thrills but little beneath. Compared to the eerie, relentless tension of Event Horizon (1997), this entry feels hollow—trading atmosphere and suspense for formula and noise. Where Event Horizon burns itself into memory, Brave New World barely leaves a trace. ★½ only when standing in Event Horizon’s long shadow.
