Soren, a young barn owl, is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie's, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers. He and his new friends escape to the island of Ga'Hoole, to assist its noble, wise owls who fight the army being created by the wicked rulers of St. Aggie's.

This looks incredible even 15 years later. Realistic owls that you can actually tell apart and see emotion in unlike a certain few Disney movies recently. The story of the original books is cut down a bit much and made not quite as dark, but it's still a serviceable story. Definitely check out for the visuals, there are a lot of great shots in this.
