It wasn’t the most awful watch in the world. The most annoying thing about this film is it doesn’t know whether to be a musical or not. It awkwardly goes from film scene to musical scene which ruins the flow of the movie.
The visuals were as incredible as the first film, everything looked brilliant once again. The music choices outside the musical scenes were actually really good. I feel like I would’ve much rather just had those songs play over real movie scenes than the underwhelming musical scenes.
Biggest shame is this storyline probably had a lot of potential even though there was probably no need for a sequel. It does just feel like a bit of a cash grab.
Side Note: Lady Gaga is a great singer and did a lot better than what I thought she’d do when I first saw that she was staring in the film
