Heroin addict Mark Renton stumbles through bad ideas and sobriety attempts with his unreliable friends -- Sick Boy, Begbie, Spud and Tommy. He also has an underage girlfriend, Diane, along for the ride. After cleaning up and moving from Edinburgh to London, Mark finds he can't escape the life he left behind when Begbie shows up at his front door on the lam, and a scheming Sick Boy follows.

I saw this movie over 5 years ago and didn't like it at all. I revisited it because of the sequel coming out and found it on Netflix. Curiosity had the best of me to give it another chance and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this! The soundtrack is killer, the acting is great, and Danny Boyle is a genius! For a movie so disgustingly dirty it's gorgeously shot and edited. I love the ending and can't wait for the sequel!
