I had this marked off as watched but watching again I think I confused this with Rabid Dogs.
This is an exploitation/ Italian crime procedural. Maybe if you squint enough you’ll get a message about the rich taking advantage of the poor. Instead it’s a mid crime film about an incompetent cop trying to capture three rich young adults on a rape/murder crime spree, The criminals when they’re not raping and murdering are treated compassionately for some reason. While the cop nearly has his partner gang raped (whom he then beds just moments later), then a few scenes later he beds the girl in the gang. The cop could have rounded them up both times but the film seems to be interested in this toad-looking clown’s sex life.
Mean spirited and nasty but done in such a mixed bag of incompetent storytelling nothing can be taken seriously. I did find myself fast forwarding past the sexual assaults because they go on forever.
Film looks great and the soundtrack which is also trying to romanticize the gang is actually not bad if you ignore what’s happening on screen.
