Bandidas

Bandidas
In turn-of-the-century Mexico, two very different women become a bank-robbing duo in an effort to combat a ruthless enforcer terrorizing their town.

There's only two reasons why there would be any interest to sit through Bandidas. The film tries to pass off its generic action with charm alone. Sometimes it works, mostly it doesn’t.
It all feels like play-acting. There’s no grit, no edge, and no real emotional stakes. Even the villains feel like cartoons. It’s not terrible, just shallow. Bandidas coasts entirely on the star power of its leads and feels more like a western produced for middle aged moms.
